Haiti is one of the poorest countries and there are areas of the country where the healthcare system is so overburdened; which means no healthcare for anyone.  Hospitals do not exist in sufficient numbers to be easily accessible to the rural poor, many of whom have to walk an entire day; only to find that the medicine his/her child needs is out of stock or they can't afford it.  It is our goal to place a clinic in this rural place in Haiti called Francois.  The clinic will be equipped with space for counseling, testing, an exam table,  pharmaceutical storage for all the medications, referrals to treatment at a bigger facility, and a variety of reproductive health services, including prenatal care.
